Hi. Inside application>manage application, there is an option for us to delete cache/data.

my question is what happens if i delete data?

my internet and google maps data are quite high. I wonder if deleting them would help to increase the memory.

In some apps, data will delete any saved settings and return it to out of the box state.

I only ever clear cache for apps.

Do you even have the option to clear data for internet and maps because I don't.

After some intensive internet browsing yesterday I went to clear the cache and noticed that the data part was about 8mb. I went back into the internet app and closed all of my open windows, leaving only my google homepage open. I then checked again and the data part had dropped to less than 2mb.
