Contacts did though, .... Anyway to transfer apps?... Or do I have to re-install them?

Well it's a little late now, but I use Astro to back up all my apps on my sd card, so I can reinstall them if need be. You'll probably have to download them again, but I would get Astro or something like it to back them up for next time.

I did a factory reset and they re-downloaded eventually took a while tho.

Once you sign into your phone with your account just don't go to the market and they will eventually all download... if you go to the market it usually doesn't work. So if they haven't downloaded by now, you'll have to just reinstall them
