Dear all,

I have an idea for an app and wondered whether
there are developers here.

I wanted to create the app myself,
but I'm a bit reluctant on the advertising-part.

The app is really simple:

As a user you can create a list of the apps you really like.

The list is populated with a personal selection from the apps installed.
If you uninstall an app the app remains in the list (unless you unselect it).
(This way you can add all the apps in your play-library if you have some time to waste.)

You can share your personal list (people can follow you).

And it's possible to install apps from the people you follow via the app store.

(I did some thinking about which name to use,
since I'm not a native English speaker
some apps are translated,
so you would need to crawl the English name from the play store
(unless you would like to add localisation).)

Those lists are synced with a server,
this is really simple, just 4 tables
and with spring boot and rest services this should not be a pain.

You can also publish your Apps Followers account on social media.
(you can do so with android devices as of from 6.0,
you can possibly set the minSDK version to a lower value
to handle users on older devices that only would want to follow.)

The challenge (if this would be a hit) would be a to high number of users,
but for the first version you could limit the number of initial users
to 100.000,
any server can handle that load (since the calls are infrequent)
and whenever you hit the 100.000 limit you can
think and plan load balanced and clustered solutions.

I think I'm not alone in wanting the app (see poll below).

There are plenty of apps where you can share your apps,
but most of them require people being in your vicinity,
you also don't have the follow mechanic
and sharing multiple apps is cumbersome.
