Hello, on my samsung galaxy ace after I been on messaging, market, there is always some active applications running on the home screen. Also on the ram tab when I click clear up memory it always says 16 apps cleared. is this normal or do I need another app for this?

    Thanks

please take more time to write then read your posts most of it is incoherent.

the other the other things the ram clear option closes, are things like background wallpaper, e-mail checks, software update check, and so on most of em you do need running to use your ace.

try removing apps you know are running in the back ground like facebook chat apps or weather checking apps and such like,.

why do you ask if you don't want to read the answer?

anyway chismay is right, the apps it closes when clearing your memory will automatically start again, they're just running in the background and it's usually widgets and sync services etc., that's why it is crucial on a device with less than 300megs of ram to keep the phone clean (you don't have to, but don't expect multitasking or anything else).

    this means:
    - only keep widgets on your homescreen that you actually use, so no clocks and musicplayer or whatever (except if you really need that of course)
    - delete apps you don't use
    - if you don't use gmail, facebook or any other webservice, disable autosync in your settings (you don't have to disable it for all accounts)
    - seriously: delete apps you don't use
    - you could go even further and flash your device to remove sammy's bloatware, that can free up another 30-40mb of ram, but you risk bricking your phone and void your warranty

most important thing: don't get an app that automatically ends those services running in the background! widgets automatically start again, so this will just drain your battery and might also have an impact on performance.

Of course I want to read a reply that's why people post on forums.

Chris may says about some words incorrectly typed and then goes and posts this below

"the other the other things the ram clear option closes, are things like background wallpaper, e-mail checks, software update check, and so on most of em you do need running to use your ace."

alright mate if you really need a full explanation ,

i own a dell inspiron 1545 laptop, since i updated to windows 7 i have a keyboard driver error that randomly selects different text lines and moves them,. so forth i usually have to type my messages 2-3 times or delete paragraphs and start again,

to be honest, repeating a text line is obvious to most a "typo" anyway constructing your speech in poor fashion to which people cannot understand you is pretty much defying the point of communication. = rambling

now if i can handle the keyboard with adequate skills for me to still type messages that "MOST" people don't see a problem with understanding my point, i don't see why others have to confuse us with random blasting-on's and typical bad grammar pattern.

i may have come off tad strong yes' but i also tried helping you with your problem good luck with your ace
