Help apps to get rid of "emergency call" button?

Hi All. When using the pattern lock on my Optimus S, it has an 'Emergency call" button at the bottom of the screen. I have pocket-called several numbers with that stupid button now. Are there any apps/settings that will get rid of it?

I've done some searching and found where people have been putting a swipe app that runs over top the pattern lock, but I don't really want an extra step.

I really like the pattern lock and would like to keep it. I just want to get rid of the button! I don't want to root my phone or anything. Thanks.

That can be an important button when you need it. A phone case or sleeve may help avoiding pocket dialing.

To keep my pocket from calling everyone I use Call Confirm.
