So i`ve just read over at Afterdawn that Apps2SD is coming soon officially on Android. As a newcomer ,do you think update will be made available to contract phones such as my Desire on T-Mobile (UK).
Or will they make us wait?

It will be an Over the Air so everyone with a standard Desire should be able to get it.

However the question is when ;-)

yeah, I had a chat with one of the techs from t-mobile he said the update should be coming in about a month. So hopefully not long too wait, but will see never seems to quite workout that way with t-mobile.

With this coming, it makes going the 'root' path less attractive??

yeah i just got my desire, and was deciding if it was worth rooting and getting apps2sd, or if i should just leave it as stock, as i dont want to loose my warranty.
but now that its coming as OTA there is ... no reason for me to root!!

It's the main reason I might root as well, so hopefully it'll be out soon.
But if it's announced by google later this month, then it could still take quite long before HTC pushes an update. I need more space now :)

If I was waiting for this i'd be concerned about the length of time it has taken for htc to get an update out to the hero..

I was more concerned about T-mob,i had an Omnia before my Desire ,that was full of bugs ,these had been fixed for unlocked phones ,but T-mob never updated once.
