With Clockworkmod, you have 3 partition options: 128, 256 and 512. Seems to me the obvious choice would be to use 512mb since it would give you the most room to install apps. But I gotta wonder why they would give you the 3 options because it would seem most people would want the most space you can have. That got me wondering if there is some potential performance issues with using the larger size or is it nothing more than just giving the user 3 different choices?

The people i help (including myself) that use drellisdee's recovery just keep the default size which is 512mb. Some people even go as far as 1gig. I presonally have been using 512mb with velocity .3 and had no issues. Now im back on velocity .2 with 512mb partion size and still am not having any issues.

Okay, thanks. I used 512mb as well and was just curious as to whether I should have used another number.
