Help Appshare problem

When my wife uses AppShare the phone turns it into an MMS message. She is on 3. Other people on 3 can send me a link to an app without it changing to an mms message. How can she change this? Any help appreciated.

Does it definitely arrive as an MMS to you? Not an e-mail?
