    Hi
Im sure I saw on a thread that someone had 'Lets play Golf' by Gameloft on their Desire.

This post on the Gameloft Forum suggests that Gameloft games are not compatible !

Gameloft HD Games for Desire and others?

Can someone please confirm that these games will work on the Desire ?

oops, ive just looked at this again and it seems that there are some Gameloft HD games that are different from their standard range of games.

Im guessing its the HD games that aren't compatible and games like 'lets play golf' are ?

If this is the case, why aren't the HD games compatible with the flagship handset ?

The HD games are, be careful with gamelofts t&c's though. Apparently buying a game means you get a 1 install only version. So if you hard reset your phone, or even uninstall the game to save space you gotta pay full price again.

    Hmm I didn't spot that..

I wont be buying another until they are on Market. I bought Gangstar as it said it was supported by the N1. It didn't work and Gameloft then denied it was even supported by the N1.. and that was that.. no refund..
Which is interesting as I know the not so legit version works fine.

I wouldn't recommend anyone buys them until they are on Market  Some good looking games too even if they are ports.

From the comments on some reviews I read it looks like several of the games are only optimised for the Droid processor and will slow down on the snapdragon. The Football game should work, the one that looks like Halo is unplayable.. I can't remember what else was said. Too much of a risk tbh.

I have Real Football 2010 installed and it works really well, but as said above you can't reinstall if you take it off for whatever reason- big shame!

Apparently they changed t&c.s now to allow reinstall, still don't trust them tho

When you select the Desire as your handset only about half the HD games are listed as available for your handset. If you say you have a Droid then you can purchase any of them, although some may not work/work well. I got Dungeon Hunter on my Desire by doing this - it works just fine (nice game too). Now that they have changed their DRM policy I think some of the GL games are well worth a look (I also have Lets Golf, also nice).
