Are there sales or freebies on paid games?

    I have an iPod Touch. For Android paid games, do they ever go on sale or go for free for a limited time? Any good sites that keep track of this? There's tons for the Apple app store. Thanks! =)

    Android doesn't seem to have a lot of sales, not like the iPhone. It's a different culture.

    It's purely down to limitations in the market, games can quietly go on sale but Google doesn't have any way of people advertising this.

    I'm selling my game for a slightly discounted rate at the minute*, the only way you can flag this though is by putting a comment in it's description. The Android market is a bit broken anyway, old abandonned apps sit at the top, while high rated new apps sit at the bottom.

    Thanks for that site Scrav! Too bad there's not the atmosphere of the Apple app market. Maybe one day =)

    There are not likely to be a lot of "free for one day" in the Android market, because the way the market is implemented (at least at the moment), any app that is set to be free will be free forever. The developer would have to add the app again as a completely new app.

    Another way to stay on top of thins is to use AppBrain (either the app or online) and narrow down the search for "Discounted prices."
