I put the invisashield on mine, and its a bit of a pain but if you do it properly you dont even notice its there after it fully drys. I do however feel like my finger is dragging on it when scrolling.

I dont know what the actually screen feels like because I didnt really use the phone at all before i put the protector on.

Where did you find the Body Glove? I searched their Web site for the Droid fit and didn't see it. Thanks!

They're not the most user friendly shields to put on, but if you take your time and follow the directions, they come out great, and very discreet. Not to mention the superior protection they offer and a lifetime warranty to match.

My wife bought two of the the Zagg Invisibleshields at Best Buy yesterday. If you decide you need one, I recommend that you have BB put it on for you. I attempted to install mine at home. Since the droid has a very small lip on the edge of the screen it was a snug fit. i guess that I slightly stretched it since it took over four attempts to get it where I wanted it. I plan on ripping it of today. Definately ruins the look of the screen unless it is absolutely perfect. My wife will be bringing here Droid to BB is she decides to keep hers.

I was number 2 in line on Friday and got this cover. They only had 3 in stock and I am loving it. It fits easily in the pocket. Also had them install the screen protector before slipping on the cover.

    Verizon Snap-On Gel Cover
    MOTA855SILB

Hybrid of high quality silicone and plastic materials protects your device from dirt and scratches. Soft touch micro pebble texture allows personalization with a fun, yet professional look. Compatible with Droid by Motorola.

Cost was $16.99 before my corporate discount.

    I like it naked.

...course we'll see how that works out when I drop it one day - as I always do. But I'm gunna try super extra ridiculously hard not to.

That is what I got as well and I REALLY like it. I was bummed when I found out I would have to take the cover off anytime I wanted to dock the phone but I found a solution that will allow me to leave it on. I can change to media or navigation without using a dock and the magnet works through this cover. It is definitely a keeper for me!

I purchased the grippy rubber cover from verizon and it makes it difficult to hit the top row of the physical keyboard. But I will keep it on to preserve my droid. Also got the 3 pack of screen covers too, working great.

Like I have said I am anti Zagg myself but everybody take note of two things,

1- A lot of that will clear up over the course of a couple days as it dries.

2- If you are gonna pull it off you better do it ASAP becusse the longer you leave it on the harder it is to remove.

I bought the Verizon rubber case that fits nice but makes the phone a bit bigger. Seems to provide some amount of drop protection, but none for the screen. So now I am thinking about Phantom or maybe Zagg. If I put one of these skins on the phone, will I still be able to have the Verizon one right over the skin for bounce protection? Or do the skin-type give you some bounce protection as well ?

From things said here, I'm going to get the Zagg and cover all but the touch screen, and leave the VZ screen protector on it. Should cover all the issues and the phone...without the gummy feel

I've had an issue where each case I buy/try makes it ridiculously hard/impossible to open and close the slider. The Body Glove made the slider tough to open and close and the hard plastic case at Verizon prevented me from closing the slider at all. Do I just have an especially thin phone? I want to case it, but I need a case that actually works with the slider.

On a side note I used the screen protectors from Verizon, and I didn't like them. But when I went to exchange them, the guys there basically just gave me another pack for free. The rep claimed he'd have to just throw out the old pack anyway. :D

I've always felt like putting a cover/protector/casing over your phone was like how old people kept the plastic on their furniture. Tacky, and it really takes away from the beauty.

A good example was the iPhone. The iPhone was sexy (past-tense) :D, but people would put ugly cases on it totally taking away from the look.

We have insurance to protect us from broken phones. Most credit cards will also cover your purchase under a protection plan for free.

Invisishield seems good since it's thin layer of plastic is unnoticeable. But that will protect against scratches, not dents.

The only thing I use is a LRG/Monster iPhone holster that has belt loops instead of those stupid plastic clips that always break. Although this holster was designed for the iPhone it fit my Palm Pre and now fits my Motorola Droid even better than it fit my Palm Pre and iPhone!

    http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=4620

Apparently LRG and Monster decided to collaborate on a iPhone holster that comes in all sorts of colors. I like black (plain and simple). It has belt loops and a clip thing (the gold thing you see in the pic) to clip it to bag etc.

I have a matte screen protector on my itouch right now and a clear verizon brand screen protector on my dare. I really did not like the clear one because it ruined the look of the screen, but I think the matte one looks really nice on my itouch. I like that the matte type don't inhibit scrolling. Has anyone had experience with a matte screen protector for the Droid? I want something that is easy to apply and feels nice under the fingers.

I hAve a sagging full body on and I love it. Just make sure to get it right! After dried looks clear as the main screen. Glad I did too! I dropped my Droid today and it saved my droids paint job. I'm impressed it didn't. Damage the invisashield it hit cement!

Everything that I have heard says the VZ screen protectors (3 for 12.99) are junk, I did buy some, havn't opened them yet, and will be taking them back tomorrow. There is a reason they give you 3...they suck and have to be constantly replaced.

Another speculation of my nerdery is that the VZ protectors adhere via static. Since it's a capacitive touch screen, the static layer holding the protector on is actually interfering with the capacitive discharge of your finger (static discharge). Everyone has said these protectors degrade the quality and responsivness of the touch.

I just installed some "3M protectors" from Clearfreak. I can't tell the difference between these and the ZAGG InvisibleShield I installed on my Tour (except that this was much easier to do - bigger pieces).

    Here's the link:
Clear Mobile Phone, Ipod, Digital Camera, and Computer Protectors

And if you check out eBay, they're actually selling them for $9.99.

I ordered last Thursday and got em in Tuesday morning. I think it's going to be great as soon as the last microbubbles dry out.

This is completely untrue. The 3 pack are awful but not because they affect the screen sensitivity, in fact they don't affect the screen sensitivity at all. It's the other privacy protector that Verizon is selling that really reduces the screen sensitivity. The reason I think the 3 pack stinks is because they don't fit well and they don't cover the capacitive buttons at the bottom of the screen.

Boxwave is supposed to have the static type screen protectors shipping Nov 18th for the Droid that give full screen protection. I've tried both Crystal Boxwave and Seidio screen protectors on the Palm Pre. They both appear to be high quality screen protectors. The Boxwave says that it is made in Taiwan. The Seidio says it is made in Taiwan from Japanese material. The Verizon Screen protector's say that their made in China. The Seidio Droid screen protectors are not ready yet. I thought that the Seidio finger scrolling on my Palm Pre was perfect.

Here is link for the Boxwave Droid Screen Protectors:

My droid is naked. I have insurance so I am not too worried

Another thing why are u guys so big on the invisishield and screen protecters in general? The glasss screen is scratch proof and plastic vs glass on your finger sucks. Glass is so much bnicer feel and more productive imho.

    Just my 2 cents

I bought the black hardplastic case from verizon. It adds a little bulk, but the reason why I like it is because it removes any give you feel from pressing the on the screen (without any case theres around a .75 - 1 mm gap between the screen and keyboard. The snapon case removes any give, makes the phone feel more solid. Also, it has an almost leather feel to it, which I like.

I hate screen protectors. I've tried many different kinds in the past, and I just can't stand them. The screen is very scratch resistant, and I don't have any knives in my pocket...I'm not worried about scratching.

i'm leaving mine as is. from what i've read and tested myself, the screen is pretty scratch proof. so i'm not that worried about that. the rest of the phone i don't care if it gets scratched or not. i think it adds character lol. i don't want to cover it up with some ugly plastic covering, or make the phone more bulky. plus i keep it in my front pocket whenever i'm done with it anyway. although it does get a bit dusty.
