Damn it. I just picked up my 4th eris today. All had trackball issues. The first one had more problems however. 2nd phone was bad out the box. This one worked great for 2 hours now it's junk too! I am so pissed I love this phone but I have issues with everyone! This is all in the period of 8 months. I don't have an upgrade for 16 months. Talk about shit!
Sorry needed to vent. I guess I am going to have to call VZW and HTC tomorrow. I love this phone but the last thing I need is a phone that acts up all the time.

I feel like the only person having these problems. Am I crazy?

We see the occasional reference to folks going through multiple phones before they get a good one (or Verizon swaps them to something else), though that seems to be the exception, not the rule.
I'm on my second phone, but I've had it for about 8 months now with no problem. My wife is still on her first phone, it's 13 months old and has been run though a complete wash cycle in the washing machine - no signs of a problem.

Yes, I continue to be very thankful. I've had my original Eris since 12/18/09. Less than 8 months to go until a new phone! ;)

My Eris does this to me from time to time. I hit the button once and nothing happens. I end up having to press it harder and for a longer time for it to end up registering. This isn't an all the time thing though.
