Help Ars article on N1 amoled - what about I7500?

Hi guys,

there's a very interesting read over on Ars Technica today.

I've tried to replicate this with my Galaxy, but it appears to be using a different type of AMOLED screen because I don't see colors in any of the pixel images (be sure to click through to the guy's own blog, where you can download the images in full resolution)

Can anyone confirm that we don't have a screen which uses this trick? I don't have any means of enlarging the display in order to take a good look myself

The peculiar arrangement of subpixels on the N1 display is known as the PenTile matrix, developed by Nouvoyance (formerly Clairvoyante), and acquired by Samsung in March 2008.

Seems at least plausible that our screens are set up the same.

Galaxy has "normal" pixels in the format of [RGB]. I have a macro picture of it somewhere. Will upload later.
