Cool. But that only helps like 1% of us here. lol. Most everyone is still on 1.5 or upgraded to the leaked 2.1 with no chance of downgrade yet.

True, But i guess its like a double edge sword. See im rooted but why would i want to downgrade now??? And it like the sayin goes, "good things comes to those who wait" Plus just letting people know what going on at xda. Just notice that AF gets news late from other sources, but still a excellent site no less.

Plus if it works and becomes official. I think people who have 1.5 should just go ahead and come to the light!!!! lol

So I have 2.1 Leak.... if I want root, I need to root my phone (somehow), then install a custom 2.1 ROM, then downgrade to 1.5 and then root my phone and then install a custom 2.1 ROM.

Yeah... figure that one out! :)

Getting the leak is like having steroids with the side affects! But im sure they are really close on finding a way for leakers to either.
    .Downgrade to 1.5
.Go from 2.1 leak to 2.1 root
.Or find a way to trick verizon in getting you a new phone!

The reason it is beneficial is now that one can downgrade from rooted 2.1, there is no more worrying about getting denied a warranty replacement by a v-dub employee for something as small as a blown speaker. Even though most people haven't had a problem getting a replacement, there are still those employees that will notice and abide by the rules and deny it.
