That's a nice price. That price well draw a lot of folks if it holds true and have the quality built like the TP.

absolutely! Thankfully i know 7 is too small for me. In fact the Samsung Galaxy 8.9 i think it is? Is absolutely perfect for me!

But i bought the prime instead lol.

But my Prime is 10.1 inches. I think the Prime jr.'s will have screen envy. Good for Asus. If I wanted a 7 inch tablet I'd have bought a Nook Tablet. I have a Nook Color so I have experience with B&N tablets. I love our Nook (rooted of course).

Then they release the keyboard dock for the 7 inch tablet. Would be awesome, lol. Nice cheap tablet. I would love to see the build quality and when it is going to be released.

Yuck! I think a 12" screen with a nice small bezel would be sweeeet! 10" is small.

Samsung could have had my money for the Galaxy Tab 7.7. But they dithered and flitted their time away and now the only way to get a 7.7 is on Verizon (bleh) and for way too much monies. Asus just won big time in my book. Heck, I might buy two since I had planned on roughly $500 for a kickass 7 inch tablet anyway.

That's a nice price for an entry level tablet, but the Prime as is still exceeds it for me. Especially after this sweet ice cream sandwich update.

I'm glad to see it and hope it sells scads. That will just help expand the Android tablet market and provide more incentive for developers to make better tablet apps.

However, 7" is too small for me, and wouldn't match up well with a dock (of course). The Prime remains the best tablet for me, for sure.

I had been thinking about getting the wife a Kindle or Nook Tablet, but I'd get this over those any day of the week at $249.

Question is, how long before decent supplies? Track record is not too good for previous two releases.
    My guess is May.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. But my wife's BDay is in Oct, so I can wait.

Once I get my hands on the TP, she'll be using by OG Galaxy Tab anyway.

Another thing is I don't think a 7 inch tab will ever be considered a ipad killer. Now the TP, thats a different story.

Doesn't upset me at all. More tegra 3 tablets is a good thing. We will benefit from more game development and benefit in general from more android tablets.

i think this is an effort to compete with the new kindle fires which have been a huge hit and great seller.

to me, this is apples and oranges to the 10.1 and i don't care about that price compared to what i paid, and have no interest in anything smaller than 10". now, if they rolled out a 12", for less than the 10", i'll be upset.
