Root [AT&T] 4.0.4 root

    so is there like status of the 4.0.4 root (coming from iOS i know they usually do not give statuses for good reason..) but just checking. would it be possible to go to JB or does the device have ot be rooted for that ?

    yea yea... newbie questions ;)

    key words being "a rooted phone"

    unfortunately there are not any temp root exploits working for software build 2.20.502.7 yet,so users are not able to supercid to use htcdev.

    in order to gain root access to 4.0.4 one needs to have rooted and superCIDed prior,and preferably unlocked and allready have a working unlock_code.bin from htcdev.

    udpate, an exploit for 4.0.4 is availalbe. Look over at XDA forums.
