Okay so they're advertising something like people who sign up for a family plan can get 30GB of data a month for like a 130 bucks? Obviously not including taxes... But whats with the 40 dollar charge for each line?

Is that something that's a one time thing? Or it's every month?

"Pricing is for service only and includes 30GB plan charge of $130 per month plus $15 per month access charge per smartphone*** on no annual service contract (AT&T NextSM, bring your own, pay full price, or month-to-month).
Upgrade: Upgrade to a new phone discount is only available via AT&T NextSM, or if you bring your own phone, or pay full price. If you upgrade to a new 2-year agreement the access charge discount is lost.*** Device Limits:10 devices per plan. Limit 4 financed devices per account. Device purchase limits may also apply. Activation/upgrade fee up to $40 per line and deposit may apply."

***If you have a new 2 year contract it's an extra $40 per month per contract phone instead of $15.

The activation fee is a one time charge, but you still have to pay an extra $15 (no contract) or $40 (contract) per month per phone for their access charge.

so, for the 15 GB (free upgrade to 30GB) will cost $160 per month for two people using AT&T Next (plus the monthly cost of the devices on NEXT)

I just took advantage of this. 20 more Gigs of data each month for only $30 more. And you keep that level forever----unless you change plans. I think that is a good deal for my 4 lines.

we just add a 4th line.. and upgraded from 10gb plan to this 30gb.
he going to chip in $30 a month.. which is less than his $45 month Cricket plan (1 gb).

we all get more data.. only cost the original 3 lines... $5 total more.
