Hi all. I'm using this guide to root my HTC One.

I have made it to step 4. The drivers installed correctly and show in my Device Manager window just fine.

When I type this into my command prompt: adb backup -apk -all -f backup.ab

it comes back with: 'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Can someone help me out here? I love the One but this weird layout they have is driving me NUTS!

It has nothing to do with the phone. You're in the wrong folder. The command window has to be opened in the same folder as the one you installed adb in.
