AT&T HTC One Firmware Update Hung

[Android Question]

Currently has Android v 4.1.2. Downloading an update has been in progress for over two hours. No progress and no errors noted. Shut down the phone and restarted and the downloading resumes, but no progress. What's up? What should I do?

Downloading it from a website? You shouldn't.

Downloading it from the Updates part of the phone? Check the calendar. 100 million people just got new phones and are almost all trying to do updates. The internet and cellphoneland both bog down after Christmas and whenever school lets out.
