Hey guys. I recently imported an AT&T branded HTC ONE X+ into Australia where I live. The IMEI states the phone is unlocked. When I use my Australian SIM card in it I can send texts and call people but it will not update. In the settings menu it has "AT&T Software Update" and when I click on it it searches and then says no update was available. Is there a way around this? Can I completely rid the phone of all AT&T affiliation? Thanks in advance!

That's a tricky one. Carriers typically push out updates for their carrier-branded devices; since you're not currently on that carrier, they're unable to push the update to you.

As for removing all AT&T affiliation, it should be possible to load a community-built OS onto the device. Check in the One X+ All Things Root forum for details.
