I'm new to Encrypting, and relatively new to rooting. I have a Galaxy s5, running on Kit Kate 4.x. I was wondering if it was possible to encrypt your phone, THEN root it? I already have it encrypted then saw a post somewhere about a root released for the s5... Do I need to factory restore my phone to get rid of the encryption then root or can I simply root from where I am now?

Should be able to unencrypt it right through the phone on the same menu you used to encrypt it.
