Good news for people like me who live in the 1% of the country that doesn't have t-mobile coverage (or is it 5%?).

No value in LTE for them as it would only encourage people to violate the ToS.

LTE is practically useless if you can't download or stream

Gonna test out the new ST ATT lte on my next cycle. Gonna see if lte speeds are indeed the same as the 60+ I'm getting now.

Even if it doesn't work out, my $60 plan has been treating me well so far.

Yeah, I saw they are offering that now, I see no point, unless they are going to start allowing streaming and such without it violating the ToS. As the ToS stands now having LTE is like having a Bugatti Veyron that you can only drive in New York City traffic. While it may have the fastest thing there is you can't really use to its potential without getting into trouble.

Not true, most people are only focusing on the download speeds and the streaming tos issue, but are neglecting the fact that latency is significantly reduced on lte vs hspa. You'll notice the difference in many things you do.

Reduced latency is only a relevant issue when it comes to online auctions and online gaming (the latter of which is against the tos as it is considered uninterrupted streaming of data). There's no point in getting LTE service otherwise.

The latency one experiences on HSPA is noticeable after moving to LTE even when loading webpages. Sometimes it takes a while for HSPA to bump to HSPA+ and with LTE, your don't have that wait. For me, HSPA latency is around 500ms, while LTE is about 40ms.

If you suffer from webpages timing out frequently due to the high latency, then I can maybe see the reason for getting LTE. In my case, I get anywhere from 70ms to 300ms depending on where I'm at at the time (I have a Verizon based phone), so latency is a minor issue to me and see no point in LTE with ST's data usage policy the way it is.

Verizon edvo is better than hspa for latency, though I have seen some people complain of sprint latency up over 5000ms,lol.

ok, I had not heard any mention of less latency before. That would be a reason if have a problem.

That's still a fair amount of latency, higher than usual for LTE.
