What the heck? If you go into the Samsung Captivate room, looks like At&t had their soft launch today also, with the real launch on the 24th. Anyway, At&t is selling this phone for 349 off contract. Unless the people in the captivate forum are bullshiting.

The t-mobile version and att version are both gsm. why not just buy that off contract, pay like 20 bucks to those online unlocking companies, that unlock your phone for you, then stick in your t-mobile sim card? Won't the phone still function fine?

Because it would only work over edge speeds because it doesn't have Tmo's 3g and I rather have Tmobile bloatware than AT&T bloatware. Its most likely to go up if not wait about a month and t-mobile might match the prices.
