Hi. A few hours ago I successfully rooted my galaxy note 2 AT&T. The Wifi hot spot did not activate. It's telling me to contact my carrier. Is this normal now? Thanks

I have not rooted my phone, but have a feeling that you are having the same issue I am. I got my phone a few days ago and I was using att wifi for 2 days with no problem. Then I disabled a bunch of apps from my phone (disabled, not uninstalled) and now my att wifi won't work and it wants me to buy the att wifi service. Do you have the same issue, or does it not connect at all to the wifi for you?

I have no issues connecting to other wifi's, do you?

I'm thinking of going back and enabling a few apps at a time, till I find out what the app is that is causing it to happen.

    have any ideas?

It's not the rooting that unlocks the hotspt, you have to flash a custom rom that has it enabled. But there are tons of stock roms that have it enabled.
