Odd, Cricket is CDMA, I wonder how they will integrate with AT&Ts GSM network. I hope this speeds up the spread of Crickets 4G service.

Well, T-Mobile and MetroPCS merged, so it isn't unprecedented to have GSM + CDMA become one company. It's probably because LTE is the immediate future and that's technically a GSM technology.

news is that att will merge aio under cricket, and carrier will switch to gsm, over a period of time, just like tmobile did with metro pcs.

Aio just launched and they're already getting rid of the name. Crazy:

AT&T says that it will merge the operations of Cricket with its own recently launched pre-paid service, Aio. The combination would operate under the Cricket name.

I just hope this doesn't disrupt the 3G service as I recently got the Discover from Cricket, though I don't like on how my 3G Signal drops from time to time :(
