Anyone else notice this? I had desire rom. Installed froyo via update on modaco site, and now it seems I dont have a good cell coverage. Slower speeds, less bars in more places (I know that's ATT motto).

froyo has not been released for ATT subscribers yet so most likely the radio version you have has not been updated. I am waiting for the ATT version to be released before stepping up to Froyo.

Negative, the radio should be the same one that I had with desire rom.

Since I have updated I haven't had any problems with reception, just as good (even seems better occasionally) as before the froyo update. However, I'm in dead center Baltimore so it could just be that I wouldn't notice since the city gets great reception. Perhaps if I was back in the boonies like I used to be I would see a difference.

Can you go back to 2.1, test signal strength via the settings page, then apply the 2.2 upgrade and verify an actual difference in signal strength?

Any suggestions on the safest way to go back to 2.1?
