HTC One X produces no sound from any application (except perhaps phone calls, but I've yet to attempt this). :stupid:

Does anybody know if this is a software issue or what? Because I really don't want to take it into insurance :x

Is it just via the external speaker, do headphones work?

Neither headphones nor the inbuilt speaker works

And yeah, the headphones work with other devices.

Has it been this way since you got the phone, or did it just start happening?

If you just got the phone recently you'll definitely be able to exchange it, insurance won't be involved.

Also, I know this is a dumb question, but I made this mistake myself once before: are you sure it is Media Volume you're turning up, and not just Ringtone Volume?

The issue just occurred today, about an hour ago. I've had the phone for about a week.

Just doing a factory reset on the blighter, looking promising as I got a boot-up sound.
