Just tonight, auto rotate doesnt seem to be working.
Ive been messing around with xposed modules but even after disabling them and rebooting its stuck in portrait mode.
Ive used an app to force it into landscape for now.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers peeps

Turn off autorotate. Power down. Power up. Enable autorotate. Power down. Power up.

Let me know how much time my stupid idea wasted for you. (Power cycling sometimes fixes things.)

Lol mate id already wasted my time trying that so its cool :D
Could it be a kernel thing or even a physical sensor fault?

I have the same problem on my 2012 Nexus 7. It is the sensor inside the vice not the software on the device. It just may have went bad you can probably contact Google via Google Play and get help from Google they may even send you a new device if it is still under warranty.
