    Hi,

I've just moved to the Samsung Galaxy SII and I have been trying to set the phone to only automatically download my emails when I am connected via WiFi (to save my limited 1gb a month Mobile Internet). Is there any way of doing this?

    Thanks in advance.

Not that I have used it yet but I'm assuming "tasker" would do the job for this.

I use AutomateIt to turn off wifi when initiating a call, and to turn on wifi when call ends. I think you could easily create similar rules in AutomateIt to do what you're mentioning.

Just how much email do you get? I would have thought you wouldn't stand a chance of getting near 1GB a month unless you use your phone tethered as your only internet connection.

I use my phone a lot and have used it tethered to collect work email as well and I've only used 384MB in almost a month. I would be surprised if a few emails turned out to be a problem in practice.
