What is your average time for locking on Satellites with the Desire Z? I'm noticing mine sometimes takes a while to get an actual satellite lock. I try using Google Navigation and it gets my location via mobile network but it always says "Searching for GPS..." and it'll sit there for more than five minutes before anything happens. Makes it tough to use the Nav system if it's taking so long.

Is there an app that'll test your phone's GPS??

Mine takes a few second to lock on.

Look for GPS Status in the Market. It will give you all sorts of diagnostic info, let you reload the almanac, and display time taken to obtain first fix.

In Settings-Display & Tools, turn on "Time to GPS Fix" and the app will display how quickly (or otherwise) the receiver achieves first lock. If the almanac is up-to-date and A-GPS is active this should only be a matter of a few seconds. I've just tried mine and it took 5s.
