I know there are many many threads about this, but my situation seems ever so slightly different. My phone is essentially brand new, and not rooted. I can't figure this out on my own, I need help:

    Uptime = Awake time.

    • I've tried killing Obex
    • I've tried leaving it without network/airplanemode/no background data/etc.
    • I've been running system scanner lite, and nothing seems to be eating a large amount of cpu. (System scanner lite has the highest cpu usage)
    • System Scanner says my cpu is ALWAYS at 100% (0 nice, 0 idle)
    • Facebook is updated to the newest (supposedly fixed) version
    • I'm not using the default SMS messenger
And last but certainly not least:

    • I've done all of the above before and after a factory reset.
If anybody has any ideas, let me know, please!

No good. I tried what you said and it didn't help :-(

I really think it has something to do with the 100% cpu thing, have you heard about that issue?

Only in the fact that my cpu is at 100%..so is android. I updated my pro and it fixed it for about 20 minutes. Now its back. Sync icon is showing in the notification bar...google mail calendar and contacts are all stuck syncing. I am going to keep messing with mine. When you press menu settings about phone battery batter use android....what is at the top of the list?

I found the solution! (for me)

It turns out the media server was keeping the CPU at 100%, even though the process didn't show that much cpu usage.

I had a rogue .mp4 file that the phone couldn't read, and was (I'm assuming) in a continuous loop trying to read.

Using a blank microSD is how I diagnosed the problem was card related.

I had the no sleep problem a few days ago. Download an App called BatteryHistory and open it. Then from the top drop down choose Partial Wake usage and you can find the culprit.

i did a full reinstall ... of Myn's ROM... wiped everything.
did not load any apps. did not start any apps...

checked and awake time = up time!!!! :(
tried it with 2 kernels that was listed... no joy!!!

loaded the ROM that came with my rooting instructions for HBoot 2.02...
    SprintLover ROM... phone can sleep!!!!
flashed the new Kernel: Netarchy-toastmod 4.2.2...... phone can sleep...

soo... i think some of the older ROMs that dont take into account the new Hboot / S-off.... have issues with sleep! maybe I am wrong.
