well i'm a google-er and i always came across this site when i would look for stuff on android devices so i decided to join. i've had an android based phone for 6 months which was the HTC Hero and now upgraded to the HTC EVO. i love it and i'm always looking for ways to get more out of it, so i figured this would be a perfect place to learn and get cool wallpapers and such. i hope to contribute as much as i can to the community whether it be by tech help or just joining in on the convo. looking forward to becoming a veteran droid user

Welcome Stephen. Pretty new myself but went ahead and took the root and custom ROM plunge. :)

I was too at first then I just said wth and followed instructions and did it. haha (wouldnt recommend it until youre more comfortable and have read a lot about how to do it and what could happen)

I got the insurance too so I figured if I bricked my new phone then I'd just accidentally back my car over it a couple of times. ;) It's nice being able to try out the new ROMS and use wireless tethering for free.
