Hello my name is Limbohz and I'm a newbie :D

I followed all the instructions on rooting the Optimus and making backup of the bloatware apps on the sd card before deleting them from the internal memory.

Now, I'd like to restore it back to when I got it brand new and I made the rookie mistake of not making a backup image/rom of the phone.

Does anyone have a backup or recovery image?

    Thanks in advance.

I have 2.2 and its rooted but it doesn't reakly matter because the files aren't changed by the root, only the permissions.

    Hello, my name is Ed.

I just ordered an LG Optimus M, and it should be here on Thursday. I want to make a backup image before I change anything. I need someone to tell me exactly what to do because this is my first Android phone and I don't know much about it.

Well Ed that will depend on what Firmware comes installed on your phone.

When you get it and got it all activated and stuff your gonna want to go into the settings menu and then go all the way down and tap on "About phone".

From there go down to where it says "SW Version". If it says MS690ZV3 then you're good to go to do all the neat things we talk about here.

If however it says MS690ZV4 just head on over to this thread: http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus...-downgrade-pssst-look-here-if-you-do-lol.html

Perform that downgrade and then you're set.

I got my phone and rooted it. Backed up most of /system to the sd card. Is there anything else I should backup before I start deleting stuff?
