    Hello.
I have a 1st generation Moto G and I plugged in some headphones that were shorted in the wire. And now I have no audio.

When I plugged them in there was only sound in the left speaker ( little did I know the right wire had been chewed by a cat and was shorting out )
Then all of the sudden the music stopped and now there is no audio from either the headphone jack or the phone speaker.
I tried rebooting and that fixed it for a minute. Now it went out again

If it's blown the chip, professional repair required probably, that's it, nothing else can do.

How can I tell if it's the chip?

Idk much about cell phone audio circuitry. Is it likely that the problem is all on the analog side or did it fry the whole audio controller?
