@bruceo Maybe it's because you have a history of posting disrespectful posts all over the forum, in particular, against people who own DROIDs? IMO, it's a long time coming bruceo. And facts don't mean your personal experiences applied to the whole. You've had two DROIDs, both duds. And they've affected your objectivity. Others have chimed in to refute your notions.
@OP I've not had the problem recording any videos whether in good or not so good lighting. However, I've also been very careful, 1) To not record while I have other functions that might be memory hogs, 2) If you're low on batteries, it's been known (not just for DROID, but for any phone) to have redirect power usage which might affect camera functionality since it's a power drainer. So, in reviewing your situation, I'd ask those two questions: 1) What apps may have been currently running or drawing memory? 2) What was your battery life situation when filming?
If those two things are good, see if you can't replicate the problem. If so, it might be your phone, but I doubt it. It was likely a unique event during that recording. What apps might you have running in the background concurrently?
