So I gotta ask... Why did numus get banned? Is it permanent?
Just a personal thought, but you guys sure are hard on us devs.
Maybe the staffer who banned the member you're asking about will respond to your question, either here or via PM.
I just wanted to offer that the user guidelines have been posted, as you know, and linked several times by moderators.
When I went over those guidelines (about the third time of late) it occurred to me that this forum cluster has some serious leadership with serious concerns about the behavior of members here.
It's a very free-wheeling, fun, informative place... and vast; the place is huge with thousands of members. That adds up to quite a range of types of folks, some used to forums where flaming and language and abuse of one another, all with little or no respect for the admins, is common.

That would have carried a shadow of credibility if it were not for your posted response in the thread you're asking why others responded in.
Perhaps a PM instead?
Also, it's a shame you can't see the content of a post as the point of the whole thing, but choose to assume an ulterior motive. That attitude could cause a person to miss out on interesting opinions, information, etc.
I'm too boring to have any motive other than the point I feel has been elicited by the post I just read and chose to respond to.

Citing the zero tolerance policy he was given a 3 day ban for telling someone to "read the ******* manual." when they asked a question.
Which I can agree with, especially considering his history and previous warnings.
When the ban expired he decided to PM the moderator and tell them to "Go **** yourself."
Which apparently resulted in a perm ban.
Shame.

i banned a dude on one of my sites the other day for 3 days.
he then found me and messaged me on facebook...the message

lol... I love idle threats. they make me LOL.
Too bad about numus though. Alot of his contribution were far above and beyond what other people give. S

I got put in banishment time out for 3 days because I recommended to someone to read the User Manuel to get the answer to their simple question on how to remove a shortcut. I suppose that was considered argumentative and violation of the zero tolerance policy. Which I thought was kind of harsh seeing how I see profanity in threads and provocative almost XXX rated wallpaper samples in the Forum and people arguing why 1 phone is better than another.
I doubt this post will stay up for too long either.
