I would really like to see a basic GPS application. I want to be able to enter a lat long or mgrs coordinates and have very basic navigation to them. I don't need maps or anything fancy, just an arrow with the heading and the distance information. I can't find this anywhere and would really like to have this tool at my disposal.

LocationBot has a very similar feature, although at present you can only show the arrow & distance to a location you have previously visited. I could probably enhance it to allow a location to be manually entered though. Do you still need this kind of utility?

My "Basic GPS" app lets you manually add a lat/lon waypoint and then navigate to it using the "Goto" screen which shows the direction and distance to the location.

PS> "Basic GPS" now allows you to enter the waypoint manually in either Lat/Lon or UTM (Easting/Northing) coordinates.
