Was wondering what drains the battery more? 3G or Wifi? If I switch on wifi does it drain more battery then being on 3G?

Wifi normally draws less power than 3G.

    Generally, here's how it is:
When you're at home and not roaming between access points, wifi will use less battery than a 3g connection. However, when you leave your house (or wherever you are) make sure to turn off wifi and go back to 3g...scanning for networks around does take up a bit of battery. This is through personal experience and a little research.

If you are actively using data, Wifi will use more of your power if you are in an area of weaker wifi signal than 3G and vice a versa. If you are idle, having wifi on will use up more more battery since it is an additional hardware function.
Wifi's advantage is it's speed at the expense of power.
