Hey guys, I'm new here and I created my account exactly because of an issue that came up on my XIAOMI MI4 phone and couldn't find answers anywhere. So I had my phone rooted so I could run Cyanogenmod on it and it was working great on 12.1, but when I updated it to 13.0 it didn't work so good... and on one of the last updates my charge time went from 2 hours to 4! I don't know if it's a software or hardware issue and was hoping you guys could shed some light on the matter... Thank you in advance!

When you flash a ROM/update, you need to let the ROM settle a few days. How long has it been since you flashed the update?

I keep getting new updates, but the cyanogenmod 13.0 came out december 24... should I change it back to 12.1?

Your phone may be erratic if you keep doing daily updates. Is it daily?

Almost daily... what do you mean by erratic?

Wrong choice of words but...updates or flashing custom ROMs don't always work perfectly.. Every phone is different and reacts differently. Flashing ROMs and updates should settle first, at least a few days before assessing the performance of the phone.

what should I try to do then?

Wait a few days, let the phone settle and see if it is still taking a longer time to charge.

    and if it still does?

YOur choice. You may want to consider flashing back to the 12.0 ROM and see if it still persists. Could also be a charger problem or battery problem. Who knows. Can't help you much without the phone in front of me. You need to do some troubleshooting yourself

This is just my opinion, but I would go back to 12.1 for at least a month or two because that way you give the CyanogenMod team a chance to get the bugs worked out. The initial iterations are bound to have some bugs.

I am running CyanogenMod 12.1 on a tablet and it is great.
