Battery charging v v slow

Odd, had my 3a for just over a year: Never had any particular issues with battery. This morning (left on charge overnight) it was showing just 57%. Slowly declined today, even when out driving with usual charge lead. If plugged into USB-C lead it does charge up a bit, but v v slowly, although reporting rapid charging. Currently on USC-C lead from factory 15W(?) charger - reports rapid charging - and has been at 72% for about an hour.

Was upgraded to Android 11 a couple of weeks ago, but no particular issues.

Is it just upset and sulking because I'm receiving a new 4a today?? Or is this a hardware fault. Or some software reporting issue.

Only one app added yesterday, now removed (IPL cricket).

Can you see if simply rebooting the phone helps at all?

Try a new cord.
USB cables are notorious for causing what you describe.

Thanks guys, been an Android user for about 10 years, yes, bum USB cords, multiple. Thanks, sorry for a dumb question.
