Battery Icon Problems

hey all, i'm running neophyte 1.6 rom and everything was going fine, however, now when i charge my phone, the phone registers at full battery when it is at 95%. sometimes it'll say 100%, but then it just jumps back down to 95%.

what do i do?

is my battery screwed?

Don't leave it on charge for ages after its fully charged, otherwise the battery discharges and won't restart charging until power drops below 95%.

It's a well documented issue on the desire. Might have been fixed in froyo.

The battery charges to 100%, then discharges to 90%, then starts charging again till it gets back to 100% etc etc. If it bothers you just take the cable out and plug it back in and it will charge up to 100% again.

tried stick it in after 95%, it'll go back up to 100%, at which point i'll pull out the power cable, but within a few minutes, its dropped back down to 95%...

How long has it been since you fully discharged and fully charged the battery? It should be done about once a month to 'calibrate' the batteries self-monitoring circuits.

considering i didn't know i should/could discharge my battery, i can't really give you that answer.. where should i go from here? full battery drain before i re charge?

Let it get to the point where it starts talking to you in beep beep language, then put it on charge.

i'll let it drain to 9% then, if that's what you're saying..

just panicked this morning, thought i had screwed up my battery capacity...
