Battery Issues

Here's a thorough guide on replacing the battery. Not for the faint of heart. Personally I'd probably not do this one myself.

Those are all links to oem replacement batteries for this device. I think it's always best to get an oem battery and not a 3rd party replacement battery. There are some scary stories on the web about 3rd party batteries.

One of the Nexus TCs has replaced batteries in several 6Ps with good results, and he put together a quick thread with some pro tips to help with the process:

The big thing is to take it slowly. It's a tedious process, but shouldn't be too bad as long as you GO SLOW.

Any one has replaced their battery on the 6P? If so please provide what battery did you get and experience so far.
I gave it to a local repair shop and they did it for about $71. Battery is working great. Like new. This is the second 6P that I purchased. This one was directly from Huaweii. First one through Amazon. Battery went bad on the Amazon phone about a month after the 1 year warranty was up. Contacted Amazon and they told me to contact Huaweii first to try to resolve the issue. Huaweii wanted $170 to repair the battery plus pay all the shipping costs back and forth from Taiwan. Sent the response to Amazon and they refunded the entire purchase price after I shipped the phone back to them for free.
