I unplugged my droid about 5 hours ago, almost no use.
I got a call, I hung up, and my droid told me "5% left of battery", the battery was red.
Panicked, I shut down the droid.
When I turned it back on 5 minutes later, battery was 100%.

    what!?!

Mine has done this twice in the 2 months that I've had it. Checked task manager and had only Home/Phone/Task Manager running. GPS/Wireless both off. 60% full battery. Took it off the charger and within 5 minutes it dropped to 5%.

Not sure what is causing this. No battery app being used. Using onboard battery monitor.

edit: I've never rebooted the device after this happens. I've just put it back on the wall charger.

Update: As soon as I plugged it in last night (once I got the 5% alert) it jumped to 60% charge. So must just be a false positve alert.

i don't use any battery app.
Same thing, there weren't any 3rd party app running in my processes, nothing that used much memory.

Definitely a false alert, must be a glitch in the OS.
