Hi, i've had my lg optimus m for more than 6 months, and the battery life is "normal" after i rooted my phone it was even better without all the bloatware, i always charge my phone during the night and unplug it in the morning, i listen to music like for 1 hour untill i get to the place i work, and then i just leave it in my pocket the whole day with wifi and location off and when i'm out of work i come back listening to music for more than 1 hour and when i get home the battery used to be like 30 or 40%, i'm talking about almost 11 hour and it was just fine.

Since 3 days my phone doesn't even last 7 hours, i checked the battery this morning after 4 hours since i unplug it and it was in 38%, i already uninstalled a couple of apps that i don't used and even i made a complete wipe and reinstalled the rom but nothing works, any ideas???

What really made a difference on my phone was after i rooted it i installed setcpu and on profiles I put screen off and i put 245 max and 122 min, so whenever screen is off it doesnt use the cpu that much and it works for me, when my phone got messed up and I had to reset it I went 2 days without this and my battery life didnt last me half the day.

Im not saying its the solution to your problems but maybe it helps.

i have a stock Optimus and my battery has started to drain way faster than it used to these past two weeks. i barely use it to watch like 15-20 mins of video and that's it. then around 7 or 8 pm my battery is like 20% or less with no other use. my phone doesnt heat up or anything like that; i cant figure out what's wrong

In agreement with what Warock posted above. Wanted to add, after you flashed your ROM, have you tried calibrating your battery? Not saying you have to, but what from I've read, they recommend you do this after flashing a ROM. They have the free app at Market, "battery calibration". https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&feature=search_result That's where I got mine and I did see a difference. There are also a few good threads, if you do a search on how to calibrate your battery with more info on it. Hope this helps. :)

You mention you're running stock on your Optimus - have you rooted your phone to remove bloatware? I know couple months ago before I rooted or even flashed a ROM, my battery would not last too long. The Metropcs bloatware would always be running constantly in the background no matter how many times I forced stopped it. Not saying you have to root, but bloatware may be one of the reason why.

Does yours keep going in and out of "3G" to "1X" ? As mine has and I am having the same issue. This is the down side to the 3020 PRL where it can not conect to 3G but keeps tring to.

Use setcpu, if you have 2.2.2 downgrade to 2.2.1.. Juicedefender ultimate and setcpu extended my battery from 6hrs- roughly 18hrs.. I used that without bloatware. And I use it to listen to music on the hour walk to school, hour of lunch, hour coming home. 30mins using youtube and constantly texting and checking aim messnger and email at same time with medium brightness.

Using Setcpu, Juicedefender Ultimate, Autokiller Memory Optimizer, and rooted 2.2.1 my phone is down to 84% charge in 20 hours. Pure stock the charge was down to 75% in 6.5 hours. Both times my phone was idle.

It could be that 3G is being added to your area, and you may live right outside of the range, and when your phone drops 1X...and tries to pick up the 3G...it's killing your battery. This happens to me depending where I am. In the past I never had any battery issues even without Juice Defender. Now since 3G is popping up in our area...my battery doesn't seem to last as much either...again..depending where I am.

I agree with astmd; the extended battery is a great buy and with definately be worth the money.

Your current battery could also not be working as well as it use to because of the amount of life cycles you've used. A battery doesn't have to completely "die" just for it to be considered dying; they're only suppose to last from 6 months to 1 year.
