I take great care of my phone, I have had it since July of last year. I recently noticed that from simply checking Facebook and Twitter in less than 10 minutes, my battery life will drop 8-10%. I keep my screen on medium brightness, and I take excellent care of my phone and I don't ever overcharged it. A week or two ago it would not do this. I have no idea what has been going on with my battery life, even if I rarely use it throughout the day, the battery dies extremely fast. It is never on roaming or anything.

    Does anyone know why?

    Does anyone know?

This has become a pretty decent problem. Yesterday for example, I gave it a full charge 100% to the green light, and I unplugged it around 3:00. I talked on the phone maybe two times for a total of 10 minutes up until 6:00, and then I talked for maybe another 15 minutes around 10:00. When I went to watch a Youtube video around 1:00am, it was down to 68%. Now this is when it gets weird, I watched two videos, maybe a total of 10-12 minutes long. When I got done watching them, it was down to 30%. I did not charge it at all, I left it at 30%, went to bed, woke up, and it is still 30%. It dropped nearly 40% in 10-12 minutes.

What is going on with my phone?

ok that almost sounds normal. i mean you watched 20 minutes worth of video that you streamed over 3g i'm guessing. 3g is such a battery hog anyways, but streaming videos will definitely drain your batteries like that. the good news is that over night your batteries did not drain any further.

But it never used to do this. Even when I used to play games on say Gameboid for example, it would drain 10% for roughly 30-45 minutes of play. Now it drains about 30% or more for the same amount.

Pleas help. Today it dropped 11% from being on Facebook for no more than 5 minutes.

This maybe completely unrelated, but, have your data speeds tanked in the last few weeks? They have for a large number of us, and I now use a good bit more power when I stream video.

Actually now that you mention it, yeah I remember thinking that my 3G has been a bit slow lately. Loading Facebook, watching a Youtube video, or just browsing takes forever now. Has your battery life gotten worse too?

100% last night at 1am, woke up at 8:30am with 3G turned off, 90%. From today, 3G was only turned on for a total of 2 minutes on two occasions, battery life is at 50% right now at 7pm. Please help.
