battery life

I need a phone for a very heavy usage, such as web browsing, hours of calling and hundreds of sms every day. How is this phone battery? would it last at least 6 hours of screen time of internet browsing?

I don't have it yet, but from everything I've seen on battery life over on xda forums, people are getting 5+ hours screen on time and still getting 15 - 19 hours battery life.

Honestly, can't give a solid impression because I'm running it VERY lightly and without a SIM. But, so far it looks to be real solid. If you look at the Moto X, everyone was afraid it'd have bad battery life because the battery was so small. Well, the Moto G's is not much smaller and I think going all day is no sweat.
Quite a bit on XDA if you want to go through that massive thread:

+1 that's the thread I was thinking about. I was on my phone though, so it's hard to do links.

I been getting excellent battery life on my Moto G. I been getting about 13-15 hours of battery usage with about 5+ hours of SOT...which I'm sure I can get more.

So far this is one of the best phones I've owned outside of the Droid Maxx line that has excellent battery life.

I don't even carry a charger with me anymore. :)

The battery life on this phone is WAY above average. Supposedly when it's running Kit Kat it will be even better as the OS makes even more optimizations for processor/ ram efficiency.

I'm getting much better battery life out of mine compared to the Strat. I'm at work now with a full charge, I'll see how long it last. I'm working 12 hrs starting at 7pm.

I'm really not a heavy or game user either. But I try to give it a good work out at times!

Still SIM-less without service (signing up with straight talk this week) but I did some usage tests and the battery is amazing. Standby lasts for days, and heavy gaming for a couple hours was no sweat.

Go for it. I have it since monday and I gave it approx. same usage u describe, and it went smooth! I've to say that Motorola Migration app moved everything from my previous Motorola Pro+ MB632 to the Moto G and installed Bataria, a battery helper. Don't know how much Bataria helped to acchieve this, but from specs. and everyday use I must say the battery is great
