I'm running Android 2.2, Battery Manager that came with the phone preloaded is version1.1

I can select Battery Mode and change the modes just fine.

But when I click on the big picture of the Battery where it says 'Touch for usage statistics' the app force close on me.

    Anyone else got this problem?

Its a known issue. Supposedly there is a fix for it in the "upcoming" update from motorola. Dont hold your breath on it coming out anytime soon, though. On my X that is the only thing that doesnt work properly, although, sometimes it works just fine. 60% of the time it FC's.

Yes, just about everyone. No real fix yet - it seems to be worse if you try to view battery stats shortly after it is unplugged, or when it is plugged in... but the reality, I think, is that there is no fix for it until the next software update which has already been leaked, so it can't be too far off.

edit: that'll teach me to leave a post pulled up for more than a couple minutes!

It was force closing on me until I installed autokiller (root required) and adjusted the parameters higher than stock, now it never force closes on me.

Opening this up for some reason fixes it-- until a reboot.

Opening that up sometimes fixes it for some people... It fixed it twice for me, but never since then.
