I have a Samsung galaxy tab 2, and recently its been having some battery problems. every time I plug the charger in, it gets a red x on the screen. when it gets to 100%, the battery goes dead in less than 1 minute. why, after 2 years of working fine, all this starts in less than 2 weeks? I think I might need to replace the battery, but I have no clue how. I also heard about this guy with the same problem, but he said something about a "motherboard". what is that? or is it just time for a new tablet? I got my tablet at hhgreg, and the guy there wasn't very helpful.

Hello. I highly suspect the battery is your problem. They don't last forever.. two years is a good run actually. If you have another battery it would be a great time to try it. If not, they can be had either from the net or your provider fairly cheap. You will want to be certain to replace the battery with the correctly rated replacement. I do hope this helps.
