Night before last, I charged the battery to 100% before I went to sleep. When I was going to sleep, I unplugged it. When I woke up ~7 hours later, it had only dropped 30% to 70%. I did the software upgrade, and the battery jumped back up to 80% and lasted a LONG time.

Well, last night, I did the same thing, and when I woke up, my battery had dropped to 50%. The phone was supposedly sleeping this whole time! A few minutes on the browser to look up the issue brought me down to 40%. All I installed yesterday was YellowPages, WhitePages, Flikie (then uninstalled it), and LauncherPro (could this be the culprit?). Before I went to bed though, I opened GMail, and it was having trouble connecting to the server, and finally gave me a "retry" button because it couldn't connect. I never pressed it and just went to sleep.

WiFi, GPS, everything was off, and the screen was set to lowest brightness (which doesn't even matter here.)

Any ideas on why it dropped so much?

Are you running advanced app killer? I make sure I hit that before I go to sleep to make sure nothing is running in the background.

I had notice a battery jump overnight as well... they need to fix the battery indicator.

I refuse to run a task killer of any sort. It can really screw stuff up and make Android run a lot slower.
