Battery Running when phone is Off???

This is strange. I charge my phone when I get home to 100%. Unplug the charger and turn the phone completely off (power off) . Sleep for 8- 10 hours. Wake up and turn the phone back on and the phone is flashing because the battery is completely drained (1%). If I don't replug the charger in 15 seconds the phone automatically shuts off.

I hope this means I have a bad battery. I order a few from Ebay last week so I want to try a different battery.
